Farce90′s Wallpaper Pack

I’ve managed to find some free time to make a post. My final class of the day was canceled and I’ve run out of things to do so I figured why not. Instead of making a crap ton of posts for each individual wallpaper I figured I would make a bundle out of them. Most of the included wallpapers are Touhou and then Vocaloid with a few other odds and ends tossed in. There would probably be more wallpapers but I’m pretty picky. I’ll try and continue my series some other time. I’ve been missing sleep lately and I haven’t been feeling too well either. I’ll see if I can’t get one up some time this weekend. Take care until then, everyone.

I would also like to extend a formal welcome to our newest Co-Authors. You know who you are! I hope you enjoy your stay.

Wallpaper of The Week: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

It’s one day left for the upcoming thesis defense and I’m still watching anime, writing blog, and other stuff. I hope when the day comes I don’t get a cold feet. Anyway, the thesis defense simulation will be held today so I better prepare myself for some questions that might get launched in the simulation. Wish me luck, guys. Anime Summer List 2009

summer09animeIt’s a little bit late, but what the hell I post it anyway. Since it’s a new season where as it would be summer season’s anime, I thought I would post a list of animes that will be broadcasted during the summer period.

Okay, first thing in the dock is Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. What else should I say about this anime? Hilarious, intelligent, and twisted themes all packed in this hilarious comedy show. After watching the first season, Zoku, and Goku, I have a high hope for the sequel and it didn’t fail me one bit. It still a never-ending comedy anime with well-crafted hiperbolic reality exaggeration theme. So, make sure you watch this anime if you are a fan of intelligent comedy.

Next, keep an eye on two mytery theme animes. Umineko naku no koro ni and Bakemonogatari are the next shows for you, horror lovers. Well, Umineko naku no koro ni is a bit like Higurashi naku no koro ni except it’s a completely different story with different characters. The element of innocent child playing murderly intent character is still there, though. On the other hand, Bakemonogatari is a kind of grotesque horror flick, telling about humans who posses unnatural powers such as immortality. Bakemonogatari is a kind more of action genre with mystery theme combined, so I guess it will be a kind of fun wathing the show (Haven’t seen it yet, though).

Then, of course you have to watch Hetalia Axis Power 2. If you don’t know this anime, it’s about the World War but a retelling in a kind of comedic theme in it. I enjoyed the first season and it was hilarious. So, you might want to grab this anime when it started the broadcast. Also, keep an eye on Spice and Wolf II for you who fancy a slice of life and romance theme anime.

Last but not least, don’t miss Canaan. If you like Fate/ Stay Night, Shingetsutan  Tsukihime, & Kara no Kyoukai – Canaan is your next anime to watch. Canaan comes from the same production house as this animes, Type-Moon, so if you are a fan of their work, you might want to watch Canaan.

I think that’s the anime that I will be watching for this summer and I will update you with reviews once I have watched the anime. In the meantime, enjoy your summer time guys! I’m going to Bali on the 18th.

Beat of The Day: Kuusou Rumba Rap by Kenji Ootsuki

29944-9805_largeI was surprised the first time I watched the 3rd opening of Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. It was the Kuusou Rumba which is sung by Kenji Ootsuki but it is now remixed to the rap version.

As I listen to the beat, I kind of like it. In fact I think it is the best version of Kuusou Rumba. Who would’ve known that this hight tempo song with girls as the backing vocal fit perfectly with some rap jamming lyrics? Too bad I can’t get the English translation for this song (Help me here, guys), but from my partial translation ability (I know a few Japanese word), this lyric gives you the dark and possessiveness inside.

It’s a very nice opening since Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a esoteric comedy anime and sometime we get a dark atmosphere which instantly packed with slapstick jokes. It’s the kind of intelligent comedy anime which question why the world works as it is (trivial issue made hyperbolic to say so).

So, for today’s beat of the day, enjoy a rap jamming fast tempo song from the brilliantly composed song Kuusou Rumba sung by Kenji Ootsuki.

Wallpaper of The Week: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Time to change the wallpaper since it is already a week. Since spring is up, I would like to feel the opposite of being relieved from the harsh winter (actually there is no winter in my country, now is rainy season). Anyway, rainy season is not a so good season and I was running in the rain on my way home from the campus that evening. So, here’s a wallpaper of one of great anime series, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Hmm, I might do another anime rangking on top anime comedy sometime.
