Anime Fall List 2009

Release_Fall2009v1It’s the fall season, guys. Are you ready for some new anime series coming up for you to watch? Well, I got to say this fall’s season contains a lot of sequels of the previous aired anime series such as Darker Than Black: Comet of Gemini and To Aru no Kagaku Choudenjibou. A lot of fan service anime also present here such as Shin Koihime + Musou and Queens Blade: Heir to The Throne.

Okay, so what do I recommend you to watch? From the action genre, you got 3 kick ass anime series: Darker Than Black: Comet of Gemini, To Aru no Kagaku Choudenjibou, and Fairy Tail. I could further no comment on Darker Than Black series since the season 1 is a real blast with hardcore action. So, I really recommend you to watch this series. To Aru no Kagaku Choudenjibou is the alternate story of To Aru Majutsu no Index. This time, it’s Misaka who got the main role and I do prefer her better than Index (Misaka is a kick-ass chick with electric power. What more can you say?). And then, there’s Fairy Tail, another anime series which author also produce the anime and manga Rave. If you like Rave or One Piece, you might want to get a hold of Fairy Tail.

The reminding action genre anime are: Armed Librarians: Book of Bantorra, The Sacred Blacksmith, 11Eyes, and Asura Cryin’ 2. I can’t comment anything on these since they are all new except for Asura Cryin’ 2. In the first season of Asura Cryin’, I like the concept of a summoned Mecha to fight. However, I get really bored since the story is just to general and obvious. Anyway, for the others, I could only say that the graphic is a good quality.

Let’s go on to the Fan Service genre anime series. Up ahead there is Queens Blade: Heir To The Throne. This is a really fan service anime and be sure you don’t watch the US series since it will be censored heavily. If you like those action pack with ripped clothes battle sequence girl on girl action, then this is for you (I’m not gonna watch it though^^). Then, you Shin Koihime Musou, also from the first season of Koihime Musou. This is an alternate character of Romance The Three Kingdom with all characters transform into girls with provoking clothes (Man, those Japs are crazy). If you like Queens Blade that much then Shin Koihime Musou is for you (except, Shin Koihime Musou offers milder fan service). The last is Heaven Lost Property, which I can’t comment it yet since it’s new.

Now, let’s go to the comedy genre. I got two series that I wanted to see: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza and Setokai Ichizon. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu is the obvious choice here since the first season is hilarious. This anime is a story about a boy who has an otaku girlfriend. I’m curious about Setokai Ichizon since this anime depicts the life of a student council. It depicts what they talk about during their meeting and other school stuff. I hope this anime can be like K-ON or Lucky Star. Natsu no Arashi 2 is a so-so since I find it strange after watching the first season (you know, girl that can leap through time. And to do that, you got to henshin your way to a school uniform).

I think that’s all I can say for the fall season of anime series. Any additional comment to improve the description is welcomed.

  1. The only sequel I am very hyped for in the coming season is Darker Than Black. Others I won’t touch since I was not impressed by their preceeding seasons.

Newcomers I am intrigued by, looking at those short descriptions alone, are Trapeze, Kimi no Todoke, Sasameki Koto and Kobato.

I would also check out The Sacred Blacksmith since Manglobe has never disappointed me, but what’s with that harem-like promo image?

Others I would observe the reactions first.
