Desktop Goodies: Mio Akiyama 3 Rainmeter

Alright, after the success of Black Rock Shooter Rainmeter skin type series, I tried to make another one that portrays the similarities of this skin features. I take Mio Akiyama as the character and I got to say it took me a while to make this skin (with many head banging on the wall for Rainmeter’s limitation). Anyway, here’s the best I can do for the skin. Hope you liked it.

Skin Name: Mio Akiyama 3 Rainmeter

File Size: 210 KB

Color Theme: Black & Blue

Note: Installation and usage of this skin can be observed on the Rainmeter section. Happy downloading!

  1. Ok, the first thing is, as usual, your picture of choice is the best. Looks really cute and fits all of my desktop anime wallpapers here :) Not to mention the design and theme used match the picture.

But the most thing is how you arrange the other item. I can see you fit all of them pretty well, nicely put the song title at the right and the source meter at the bottom left with different color, matched with Mio socks. And with the clock + calendar combo at the upper right is also good (maybe if the clock is in vertical and a bit larger is better, but that’s just my opinion).

Overall I believe you’re done a good job, as always. :)

    • Oh just one thing that ‘not actually’ nice, when the background wallpaper is in white / bright color, the white text nearby Mio picture (mostly at the bottom right and beside her head) is hard to read, and is not nice to see actually. Of course it looks better in darker picture. :)

My opinion is maybe you can add a little darker stroke to makes it fits to all wallpapers.

  2. Once again another great work! I love the design, its very stylish! There was one thing though, i wouldve switched the forward and eject buttons with maybe play and stop or play and pause, maybe even previous and forward; it just feels a little awkward for it to extend out like that, but then again i could get used to it. Thanks again for another work of art!
